a review on alice in wonderland, 2010.

"sometimes, i've believed up to six impossible things before breakfast."

yesterday my boyfriend and two friends went to go see alice in wonderland. i, was particularly excited because alice in wonderland (1951) happens to be my favorite movie. yes, i liked alice in wonderland before it was a trend to. any who, right after school we drove down an hour to this one mall that was showing it and bought our tickets. $12.50 a piece for the imax 3d version, and i suggest if you're going to see the movie, that's what you see it in, because i think that's what made it so great. 

we were an hour early, but we got awesome seats. the people who got there shortly before the movie started were sitting clear up in the bottom front, which makes it practically impossible to see the entire imax screen. being that i loved the old alice in wonderland, i had high expectations for this one. i won't give any spoilers, i promise. in the beginning, you see alice, who's a little girl telling her father she has nightmares. thirteen years later, it shows alice again, but when she returns to wonderland, many claim that they've retrieved the wrong alice. i loved the queen in the movie, she's short, big headed (literally) and just hilarious to watch. they did an awesome job with making the characters, and i give whoever did johnny depp's makeup props, he looked and played his part amazing. i'm betting any money that they used mac makeup, but i've been unable to clarify that.

mad as a hatter and absolutely alice by OPI.

after the movie, my boyfriend and i searched everywhere for OPI's alice in wonderland collection, and found out that "mad as a hatter" and "absolutely alice" were sold out! those happened to be the colors i was looking for too. if you're into an orange-red hue, i suggest "off with her red", or if you're more of a metallic dark red/magenta look, i suggest "thanks so muchness!". i almost got that, but i have entirely too much red nail polish, whether it's alice in wonderland or not. any who, i hope all of you go out to see it and are as impressed and content as i am! later loves. xoxo.
